About SWAT
What Is This Study?
Using short animated videos to help people living with bronchiectasis better understand and take part in the BOAT clinical trial.
This Study Within A Trial (SWAT) is part of the BOAT trial. It looks at how animated videos might help people decide if they want to join the study. We want to find out:
1. Recruitment
Do the videos help people choose to join the trial?
2. Understanding
Do the videos help people understand the trial better?
3. Experience
Do the videos make the whole process easier and more comfortable?
About SWAT
Why Is This Important?
- It is important that people understand research clearly so they can make good choices.
- Animated videos can make difficult information easier to understand.
- They can also help people who speak different languages or who find reading hard.
By using animation, we hope to:
- Make the study easier to understand
- Support people with different communication needs
Help people feel less worried about taking part
This could help more people join the study and have a better experience.
